- I just wanted to start my late morning by giving some props to Marilyn at Event Photo Market. You see, when placing orders with them, the process is like clock work! Meaning, I pretty much know that if I get my order in by a given time,...1)it will ship the same day,...and 2)my shipment will arrive in 2 days flat! Well, like any well oiled machine, there are times when something may happen. In this case, the fault wasn't on EPM,...it was with Brown (UPS) dragging their feet and my order was still in Tennessee. As of yesterday,... I had not received the order that shipped last Monday,...I know that it should have arrived on Wednesday and here it is Thursday,...and I have 2 major productions and about 330 prints left in the DR-200. After calling Marilyn, she simply said, "No problem, I'll ship you another box of DR-200 paper Next-Day-Air via FedEx". 'Nuff said! I had the paper at my door before 10-AM,... and I was still fast asleep from a late night of toying with graphics, etc. Now, I'm already a 12x-over repeat buyer from EPM,...but this just seals the deal for a life-time partnership. Now, that's what I'm talking about,...service beyond the call of duty! Oorah! JMD
- OK, I certainly did not expect a positive response! Many thanks for your prompt service. Parcel arrived Friday my time. Melbourne is in lock down mode for the Aussie rules football grand final today. A dye sub for about A$1100 sounds good. We shoot horses. Our basic print unit is the A4ish sheet for one 10x8 or two 7x5. Until a few months ago we had been using Kodak 8660s for on-site printing. However Kodak have stopped supporting that printer here and all the alternatives are about $5K with dodgy supply lines so we have had to go to ink jets. These are pretty good now but not nearly as robust as dye subs. Just Googled this printer and it goes up to 9x6 only so would need to have a think about our price structure but not impossible. Do you do a 10x8 printer? We use Express Digital software on site which you will be familiar with and I would expect that this can run as a Windows printer if not specifically recognised? Delivery of 6 days is no problem - Kodak had been taking up to 6 weeks!! Cheers, Peter.
